Word is, it was a deal between Trenton & Aaron Kotler. Six years ago BMG was seeking a grant from the state. BMG planned to use the money  to  renovate an existing building and construct a new, three-story library (the holocaust library).   Governor Christie was happy to give a  grant but needed to allocate the funds. Aaron Kotler struck a deal with Trenton:  Lakewood’s BOE would not take funding for special children and in return BMG will get those funds. So they created a law specifically for  Lakewood that would prevent Lakewood’s special students from getting their fare share. (see the details in Zlatkin’s letter). Since then over 10.6 million dollars have been granted to BMG – in total disregard for the needs of special children.

The Lakewood Scoop put up the letter put retrieved it that day.

it was a smart move The BEO can raise taxes from the lakewood residents with no limit. So let the State give BMG the grant and the special children would get the $ from the lakewood taxpayer who does not mind … and all can live happily after all.
